JUST SAY IT!

What do you mean just say it?

Some people do not mind telling you what they think. It has been often called putting in your two cents; however, some don’t want to be cheated so they will give you fifty cent worth.

In our part of the world, it’s the season of Thanksgiving. This season should be about more than a day off from work, turkey and dressing, cranberry sauce, corn, green beans, pecan pie and chocolate cake. It’s not really about watching your favorite football team, relaxing in the recliner after eating too much or standing in long lines waiting for the sales on black Friday.

This season should be about what the compound word suggests, giving of thanks.

For whom are you the most thankful? Have you told them lately? Why not? If you have been blessed with family and friends, it is ok to tell them that you are thankful that they are part of your life. Instead of putting in your two cent worth on something that doesn’t amount to a hill of beans, how about putting fifty cents worth into showing your thanks and appreciation for those in your world.

I am personally thankful for: an awesome God who has blessed me tremendously, a beautiful wife who makes me complete, two wonderful daughters, two good sons-in-law, 3 fantastic grandsons, a terrific mother-in-law, fabulous other family members: a sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, adopted daughters and sons, a superb pastor and his family, a marvelous church family and some of the best friends that a person could request. My life would be incomplete without each of these people.

We don’t have to wait until a certain season to show thanks or give thanks. We can incorporate a spirit of thankfulness into our lives so that it remains on display all of the time.

If you have a hard time telling someone thank you, I love you or I appreciate you, let today be the day when you start a new habit. It can change your entire outlook on life. If you feel uncomfortable, practice in front of a mirror until you feel comfortable.

Don’t delay, do it today. JUST SAY IT!

Thanks for reading and sharing this blog. I love each of you.
