The all-time most profitable thief

When a person looks back through the portals of time, he or she will realize that thievery has existed for thousands of years.

One of the largest heists that took place was the Antwerp Diamond Heist.

Leonardo Notarbartolo and several others planned to rob the Antwerp Diamond Center in Belgium on February 16, 2003. Since the center is known for having so many diamonds within its walls, the thieves planned their heist several years in advance. Notarbartolo posed as a diamond merchant to establish ties with the company and its employees. Known to be the “heist of the century”, the Italian thief and his crew were able to pull off a $100 million diamond heist in spite of Doppler radar, a magnetic field, a seismic sensor, infrared sensors, and even layers of security to thwart them. Even to this day officials are still puzzled as to how they did it.

The Antwerp diamond heist remains as one of several famous heists. Throughout history, thieves have preferred to rob or steal rather than work for an honest wage. Thieves feel like they have made an easy living but the people from whom they steal, don’t like it at all. They feel violated even if they were not physically harmed. Many people will post rewards for information leading to the capture of the thieves and the possible recovery of their property.

The all-time most profitable thief robs from so many people but yet each person chooses to constantly allow this thief to repeatedly steal from him or her. This thief flexes its muscles and people cower down. This thief has been known to ruin lives and doesn’t give the destroyed lives a second thought.

Most valuables or money can be replaced but what can never be replaced is time.

Who is this all-time most profitable thief? The answer will shock you because it’s television.

People will sit in front of a television for hours instead of spending time with family members playing games, taking a walk or perhaps just talking about the events of the day. Television will tell people how to think, what to wear, how to act and what to say. The power that it possesses boggles the mind.

I issue a challenge to everyone who reads this blog; for 1 week, don’t even turn on the television. Instead take a walk with your family, play a game such as: Phase 10, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Uno, Rummy, Life, Canasta, Sorry or Rook. Engage your family in meaningful conversation. After 1 week, post your results on our website. I have a feeling you will want to continue this longer than 1 week.

Quit allowing this thief to rob you of your time and your brain! Quit allowing it to destroy your family!

After taking this challenge, leave comments in the section below.
